*Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all 2020 SciREN San Diego events will be held virtually.*
SciREN-San Diego events will consist of:
1) September 22: A lesson plan writing workshop for scientists to learn how to prepare their scientific ideas for the K-12 classroom and adhere to state and national educational standards. This will be virtually and ~2-3 hours. This is optional for educators who would like to help researchers draft lesson plans.
2) November 9 (4-6pm PT): The main event: a researcher / educator networking event, which allows for direct interface between the scientists and educators. This will be virtual and ~2-3 hours.
3) Additional optional opportunities for virtual class visits, curriculum development, and future collaborations.
If you are an educator, and are interested in participating please fill out this form.
Funding provided by the National Science Foundation.
